August 7th & 8th, 2010, Municipal Stadium, Waterbury, CT
Hi, I am Darren Bragg, an eleven year Major League veteran and currently the outfield and base running coordinator
for the Cincinnati Reds. I am very excited to tell you about a Showcase that we are setting up. The BIG EAST SHOWCASE
will take place August 7th and 8th in Waterbury, CT at Municipal Stadium.
The response from my peers in professional ball, scouts, college coaches, High School coaches, summer league coaches and most importantly parents and players has been outstanding. I am utilizing my experience and contacts from all my years in professional baseball, college ball at Georgia Tech and my amateur days to set up what I think will be a great experience for any player that wants to play ball at the next level. We understand that talented players can easily slip under the radar. I would like to share with you my personal experience. After graduation from High School, I had no college scholarship offers or any contact from any professional scouts. Fortunately for me, one of my teammates on my American Legion team was Rico Brogna, who eventually became the 1st round pick of the Detroit Tigers in the 1998 June amateur draft. Two division one programs, Georgia Tech and Clemson, were at our Legion game watching Rico. Immediately following the game, I was offered a partial scholarship by both institutions. Do not leave your future to chance. Take charge of your future and be active! Feel free to contact me at dbragg@bigeastshowcase.com. Thanks and look forward to talking to you, Darren Bragg |
